Dear George:
I woke up realizing that you need to be aware that the process I use drives people insane.
So before you go out into the woods and start communing with hoot owls, evergreen
trees, and the sky, bear in mind that this process can run away with your mind and get you
into trouble with the psychiatric and psychoanalytic establishment. Before you go off “in
search of God”, you need to know that “God” drives millions of people crazy each year.
Since you are a student of psychology, and are approaching graduation, you are probably
level-headed enough to understand all this already, and go meditate without suffering
unduly.

I really think the key idea is the messianic idea. The messianic idea features the little child
as leader, and the healthy little child is not insane. The studies on adults going back to
infantile modes of functioning after decades of being cultured to think, act, and feel like
adults are studies of regression to infantile modes of thinking, acting, and feeling, and that
regression produces the symptoms of a psychosis. And I don’t want you to go crazy!
In
other words, metaphorically speaking, each person is like a lamp. Before lighting the
lamp, one must put oil in the lamp. Then, after oil is in the lamp, the wick draws up the
oil, and the oil is burned to give off light. The wick is not burned. The oil is burned. The
metaphor has to do with psychochemicals your brain-mind-body gets soaked in before you
really light up.
Each disciple comes to each Guru as a lamp without oil, like each pre-psychotic comes to
God without knowing how to burn in the fire of God. The Guru helps a person meet God
and burn in the fire of God. But Gurus vary. And there’s not yet a rational-intellectual
theory of burning in the God-fire. Western medicine calls this burning inspiration or
schizophrenia, depending on how clean the burning is. Hindus have called it kundalini.
My work is to help set up a research institute or work in an existing research institute for
advanced studies on brain-mind-body integration.
I’m a self-taught Guru or Master. I can’t tell you what I will say to you the next time we
meet. I am responsive to the moment and I can help you see from different points of view.
My gift isn’t memory. I mainly project energy and help a person recognize and cultivate
his or her special talent and joy. I also have helped a person rediscover some joy or talent
he had as a younger person. Sometimes an ability is dismissed or forgotten in the
excitement of school and teen-age life. Sometimes a family or a community makes fun of
a genuine talent.

The messianic paradigm is “Pay more attention to what you’ve not paid attention to
before.” Obviously, this paradigm expands your awareness day after day after day! In our
culture of objectivity and material possessiveness, children are taught to pay most
attention to material possessions and to how to make money which buys material
possessions. By applying the messianic paradigm, a student looks around more, and pays
more attention to those persons who aren’t popular or who couldn’t be bought. These are
the more or less “inspired” independent-thinking persons who are considered “different”
or “funny” by their peers. Many of these persons eventually suffer so much that they go
insane and identify with “The Messiah” or some other inspired heroic person, but they
can’t explain what has happened to them to make them feel inspired or crazy. The fact is,
the person with “integrity” is different even as a young person. The person with
“integrity” is more whole and is more in tune with the whole. But there are degrees or
levels of integrity. And no existing religion or science yet defines the whole in a way
which integrates rational thinking with intuition and other direct perceptions.
What’s universal is not what’s in style. The fads come and go. What’s basic remains from
age to age and from moment to moment unchanged. All the material world is like a
flickering flame or dust being blown in the wind. Humans age and die. What’s not
material remains forever young and eager, and old and wise. It’s dangerous to strive to
gain material wealth without first gaining wisdom. So all humanity is in danger today.
There is so much striving after material wealth and so little effort to become wise!
There’s the idea of “separation of church and state” We all learned this idea is what’s best
for the United States of America. And many American children don’t go to church. And
there are so many different churches in the United States, and churches aren’t research
centers. And the unusual “messianic” humans don’t feel welcome at any church. These
“messianic” humans can’t resolve the conflicts, questions, and doubts they feel, and they
don’t fit into any other clique very well, either. The “messianic” type of person really is a
misfit in any tightly knit existing social order. But the old Jewish idea was that of
“Messiah” as “the little child” and “the stone the builders refused” and “the high become
low and the low become high.” The old Jewish prophets were just very intuitive. They
gave some really good clues. But more research must be done before the “messianic age”
can begin.

Many unusual persons live for decades and then quite suddenly sense in a strange, new
way. This way is considered “psychotic” by psychologists and psychiatrists and by all the
conventional thinkers who just join some modern clique or profession. Nearly all
university students do join a club and they “buy into” the conventional professional belief
system. So it’s easy to predict how most Ph.D.s in psychology, and most MDs will think
about schizophrenia. They read the medical papers on schizophrenia. They don’t become
schizophrenics themselves. So they are like the armchair skier who reads about skiing,
and watches movies on skiing but doesn’t take the risk of learning to ski and race on the
downhill slopes. The academics and the doctors are not willing to risk experiencing the
real thing.
The essential emerging problem is that this subject of “human potential” challenges the
traditional paradigm of science. Many “self-realization” people or “new agers” go way
too far in rejecting reason and science. To realize the full human potential, science and
reason have to be preserved and integrated with intuition and with other talents. But
professional scientists themselves as students bought into an old club of conventional
thinkers. The revolution which produced the first scientists is long past. Few if any of
today’s students who buy into science aren’t burning with the “messianic” zeal. The
modern scientist fits into a group of similarly thinking professionals. He’s not inspired or
at risk of going insane. The first scientists were extremely zealous eccentrics.
Today, psychology and psychiatric science is confronted with this problem of inspired
versus insane. That is, if modern society doesn’t recognize and support the relatively
uncommon inspired students, then society will make life too hard for many inspired
students, and many will drop out and escape the hard grind. Society won’t realize what
it’s doing to many students at varying ages, who aren’t able to buy into the modern
non-intuitive educational paradigm. But those who don’t drop out or give up, persist and
often fail to find any comfortable position. These are the main candidates for “messianic
leadership”. When they “find God”, and “become God”, they enter the schizophrenic
stage. But some group of medical researchers needs to seriously consider this model and
make more studies, and rehabilitate more chronically sick and sensitive, reactive and gifted
persons. This will bring the next scientific revolution.

As “Aquarius” I am just the one to “spill the water” so-to-speak. And since today, tens
of millions of cyber-persons make up names for themselves, I can call myself any name I
like. As more people come to really understand the new paradigm, Aquarius will become
a popular movement.
First, there needs to be a well-organized website, and some well-organized books, videos,
and audiotapes for sale at a cool website, so that more students and other adventuresome,
still-learning persons can better review this “idea of messiah” and the source of the
messianic idea, in the inspired prophets old and new. I’m very new to the computer scene,
and my main occupation is research, writing and peer counseling. So I’m looking for an
experienced business person.
And George. Thank you for being such a curious monkey.
