When you count,

Yes, when you count,

You are adding one to the number before,

Over and over and over and over.

Zero plus One equals One.

One plus One equals Two.

Two plus One equals Three.

Three plus One equals Four.

Four plus One equals Five.

Five plus One equals Six.

Six plus One equals Seven.

Seven plus One equals Eight.

Eight plus One equals Nine.

Nine plus One equals Ten.

And so on, on and on and on and on, adding one each time.

Here is one little man inside of one little box.

We can make the box smaller and smaller and smaller but it is still just one box.

The number one, the natural unity, is independent of physical dimensions.

This is a proof by observation.
What you see is what you get
Wherever you look in the universe.

And smaller,
And smaller,
And smaller,

You can make the box as big as you like, and the man as big as you like.

How large or how small the space you count does not matter.

On and on the counting goes, but only if someone is counting.

Counting numbers is something humans do, on and on and on.

Humans counting numbers reckon independent of measures in time and space.

Humans counting numbers reckon with what was

Even before the Big Bang.
