1. At present boys are taught to fight
And people pay to witness contests between
Individual men and teams of men.
People even pay to watch roosters fighting
And contests between a man and a bull!
2. In the chickenyard the weak rooster is pecked to death
By all the other roosters.
Even hens join in this feast of blood.

3. At school a boy has to prove himself worthy,
But at school most subjects aren’t taught.
A young man spends hours a day learning to play
Football or basketball or some other game.
Only a few books are studied at the university,
Even as hundreds of thousands of books
Remain unopened in the library on campus.
4. To be hired today, a man must seem superior
To the other men who apply to work
At the same position. Being superior is the
Way of survival today, for every able man.
The man who can’t compete is seen as a “loser”.
5. The better society
Teaches the better social rule or
Paradigm than the rule of
Pecking order as in the
Chickenyard and in the
Company of fierce competitors.
The Rule of the Beast
Is the old way. The new way
Is people becoming
Conscious of more and more
And more.

6. In the old society,
A few performers rise to the top
By focusing all their energies
On a single discipline.
They care not
About the other disciplines
And their ignorance is great!
Yet an electronic brain can
Outperform the world chess master
And no human
Can store the information contained
In one hundred CD roms.
Conscious memory, rules of reason
And calculation
Technique is not wisdom.
7. The wise boy looks around
And sees the other boys
Keeping their attention focused
Inside of some game space.
The wise boy sees that
The school yard itself
Is enclosed inside
Of a chain link fence.
The wise man considers
The whole. Competitors say
He’s a fool or a coward
Not to participate.
8. A young man who is wise
Won’t devote his whole life
To mastering physics or the violin.
Many strive to master a single subject
But few of these actually
Make a living
From what they studied.
Those who do remain so focused,
Stay immersed in a specialty
For dacades.
They are players within a small space.
They jump few if any fences.

9. At some point a civilization
Needs to become more aware.
This means more and more people
Need to become more aware.
The new paradigm is more awareness
And transcendence over the Beast within.
The healing practice
Is cooperation and clear vision.
10. In school there are a few wise boys.
The wise boy is aware of what games do.
He sees himself caught up in the school spirit
But he also can look down
Upon the playing field
And see the pattern of competition
Is both brutal and primitive.
11. The wise boy can see how The System
Keeps imposing this pattern,
This pattern of the Beast upon him,
Forcing him to choose
One side or the other
And not consider the whole picture.
The wise boy is compelled to reflect.
The more a young man reflects
The less attention he pays
To the game itself.
Others may see him as a loser
And enjoy seeing him fail.

12. We now know that humanity evolved
In a world of fierce competition.
Our ancestors had to battle fierce animals
And fierce warriors.
So the will to fight is in us all.
Yet we struggle to solve
The persistent human problem
And further evolve.
13. But the world has changed.
Mechanical beasts now
Roam the Earth by the billions.
Humans control these
Mindless machines,
And humans now wield
Immense physical power.
One bomb can destroy
An entire city.
One electro-mechanical
Weapons delivery system
Can incinerate an entire nation.
14. In the past a fierce hate
Has given strength to warriors
And made them insanely destructive.
Weapons of mass destruction
Amplify this power a million-fold.
This is why the old type of man
Whose will is blind and fierce
Is more obsolete each passing day.

15. The master warrior,
Be he Occidental or Oriental,
The one who has focused
Upon the study of battle,
Is no longer fit to
Lead and inspire
Boys and young women.
16. And those who follow the
Master warrior
Are like boys who set fires
And then watch in entrancement
As many houses burn.
17. Schools can graduate young men
Who are exemplary in the new way,
And schools can graduate young women
Who have mastered The Messiah Rule.
18. You, too, can
Throw some water
On the fire,
And help teach peace.
19. Explore more subjects
And you’ll become more wise.
Pay attention to what’s being overlooked
And help open more eyes.
