1. I was born with wisdom.
So were you.
We were both wise enough
To intuit what words are for.
We were both intuitive enough
To learn to walk and talk.
But school taught us to distrust intuition
And construct reasoned arguments and play
Chess games with rivals.
Let go of your crutch and walk.

Come join the dance!
2. There is a state of calm and peace
In the quiet garden.
Horns aren’t honking. Dogs aren’t barking.
Children aren’t yelling and screaming.
There is the hum of a hundred bees.
There is the fragrance of a thousand flowers.
No sharp report cracks your eardrums.
Tempers around you aren’t
Popping off like cherry bombs.
Intolerance, hate and fear are far away,
Once you’ve come near to me.

Move to the music!
3. This is the consummate symbiosis:
Flower and bee,
Root and leaf,
Legs, arms, chest, and abdomen,
Feet, hands, heart, lungs,
Eyes, ears, and every talent in you
And me, known or unknown,
Enabling us to make the vital connection.
Come visit me in the garden.
